About Greenmont Farms

The Greenmont Farms facility can be rented for short or long term use. Workshops, small conferences, meetings, and the like can take advantage of our dormitory sleeping lofts and a "do it yourself" fully equipped kitchen. People with disabilities will find this facility accessible.

Underhill Center is located 23 miles North East of Burlington, Vermont. This village has 2 country stores (one that sells gasoline). Local produce and other necessary provisions can be purchased here. The village is completed with a Post Office, the Elementary School, and the Underhill Town Hall. The nearest large food market is 10 miles away is Essex, Vermont.

The scenery here is mixed. Small scale agricultural farmland, a produce farm specializing in strawberries, arable grazing pasture, woods, and fields fill the valley. While hills are on all sides. The Browns River flows through this place on its' way to the Lamoille River which eventually pours into Lake Champlain.

Tours of the University of Vermont Proctor Maple Research Farm can be arranged. Art galleries that feature local landscape artists are in Jeffersonville, 10 miles to the North and The Old Mill Craft Shop in Jericho, 8 miles West features local handmade crafts.
